Build prompts and techniques you can reuse for briefings, reviews, analysis, research, and faster communication.
What the day looks like
The session is designed to meet you where you are. We will establish the essentials, practise with real work, and progressively sharpen how Copilot supports your judgment.
Understand how Copilot uses your work context, files, messages, meetings, and the web.
Prepare your day, research a live issue, and move from information to a clear decision.
Use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Researcher for connected executive work.
Personalize responses, refine your prompting approach, and identify habits to keep using.
The art and science of prompting
You do not need a perfect prompt. Start with the outcome you need, then add the context, sources, and expectations that will help Copilot produce a response you can act on.
What do you want Copilot to do?
State the task or decision clearly: summarize, compare, analyze, draft, or recommend.
Why do you need it, and who is involved?
Add the audience, business situation, priorities, constraints, and decision being prepared.
Which information should Copilot use?
Point to the relevant document, workbook, email thread, meeting, work data, or web sources.
How should Copilot respond?
Define the format, level of detail, tone, evidence, structure, and action you expect.
